Excise Dept impounds 75 unregistered vehicles, seals 155 defaulter properties in Kasur

LAHORE: The Punjab Excise and Taxation Department impounded 75 unregistered vehicles on Sunday in a crackdown.

According to Excise and Taxation Officer Malik Muhammad Saleem, operation against defaulters of property tax and token tax continues and huge revenue has been generated even on holiday.

Under the supervision of District Excise Officer Malik Saleem, teams conducted massive operation against defaulters in different tehsils of Kasur, including Pattoki, Chunian, Raja Jang and Khudian Khas.

According to sources, teams sealed 155 defaulting properties, impounded 75 unregistered vehicles and also seized documents of token tax defaulter vehicles.

According to Excise Officer teams of the department also resolved the tax issues of the public on spot and generated huge amount of taxes in Kasur.

Excise and Taxation District Kasur has recovered more than 100 percent of the property tax target for the fiscal year 2014-15 only in 10 months of the said year.
