Huge revenue loss due to non-audit of DTRE by MCC Exports

KARACHI: Federal Board of Revenue is facing huge loss due to non-audit of Duty Taxes Remission on Exports (DTRE) by Model Customs Collectorate Exports.

Sources in FBR informed Customs Today that the huge revenue loss to the national exchequer worth millions of rupees is being observed due to improper audit of DTRE since 2011.

They further revealed that during these three years many exporters have failed to export their consignments in time. However, MCC-Exports Collectorate has not yet conducted any proper audit of the said tenure.

The authorities concerned of FBR are being urged by exporters to take immediate notice of the fact and take effective steps to hold proper audit of the export consignments since the year 2011 in order to prevent the huge loss to national exchequer.
