Hydropower projects: Chinese’ investors meet KPK governor

PESHAWAR: A delegation of Chinese investors called on Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Sardar Mahtab Ahmad Khan here at Governor’s House on Friday.

The delegation which was headed by Manager of Zhongnan Engineering Corporation Limited, Zhang Yaun discussed specifically about investment in hydropower sector.

Talking on the occasion, the Governor said peace and harmony were now prevailing in Pakistan as a result of successful military operation and now it was the time for availing investment opportunities in various sector especially in hydropower in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and FATA through involving local and foreign investor.

He assured the Chinese delegation that proper security will be provided to Chinese investors in Pakistan.

He said that foreign investment in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and FATA will create conducive environment for availing employment opportunities and generating economic activities. “There are extensive opportunities of hydropower investment in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and FATA and they should get benefit of it through investment”, he added.
