CHARLOTTE: Charlotte-Mecklenburg police and federal agents seized 13 pounds of heroin in a stash house nearby, which CMPD Police Capt. Coerte Vorhees called a “significant seizure for this area.”
Two people who lived in the apartment were arrested, Floridalma Amaya, 40, of Mint Hill; and Reynaldo Pulido-Martinez, 31, according to WSOC-TV.
“You always work it up if you can, and in this case we found a stash house that contained a large amount of heroin,” Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department Capt. Coerte Vorhees said here the other day.
The drugs were probably headed for sale on the streets of Charlotte, where the heroin market has been holding steady for the last two years, Vorhees said.
