ASO Faisalabad seizes illegally imported petrol engines, Shehzore‏ truck

FAISALABAD: The Faisalabad Customs’ Anti-Smuggling Organisation (ASO) has seized illegally imported items including four used petrol engines worth Rs525,000.

The ASO also seized a Hyundai Shehzore bearing registration No LR-1606 and having market value of Rs400,000, involving duty and taxes of Rs95,000.

Faisalabad Model Customs Collectorate (MCC) Collector Tauseef Ahmad Qureshi, on a tipoff, directed the ASO to trace the above said vehicle. The vehicle was intercepted at Sheikhupura Road Faisalabad, while two accused persons, namely Sajjid Hussain s/o Muhammad Yousif r/o Chak No 152/RB, Gunna, Tehsil and District Faisalabad and driver Hizbullah s/o Abdul Rauf r/o Gali Lehran District Pasheen were also arrested.

Superintendent Safder Iqbal, Safder Ali, Amer Mumtaz Bajwa, Tanveer-ul-Haq and Inspector Mehmood Ahmed Dogar, Spoys Muhammad Feroz, Muhammad Ashraf, Muhammad Naeem and Hafiz Naseer Ahmed conduct the operation.
