Appraisement -West surpasses revenue target by Rs 1.87 billion in May

KARACHI: The Model Customs Collectorate-MCC of Appraisement -West has successfully collected total revenue of Rs 2.0492 billion during May 2015 against the set target of Rs 1.862 billion with the surplus of Rs 1.87 billion in revenue heads including custom duty, sales tax, income tax and federal excise duty.

According to revenue statistics available with Customs Today, the MCC-Appraisement-West has collected Rs 7.052 billion in the share of custom duty against the set target of Rs 7.702 billion with a slight difference of Rs 650 million during the month of May-2015.

The Collectorate has collected Rs 9.594 billion in share of sales tax during the month of May 2015 against the set target of Rs 7.953 billion with an increase of Rs 1.641 billion.

The MCC-Appraisement-West has collected Rs 3.666 billion in share of income tax in the month of May 2015 against the set target of Rs 2.851 billion with an increase of Rs 815 million.

The Collectorate has collected revenue of Rs 181 million in share of federal excise duty in the month of May-2015 against the set target of Rs 115 million with a sharp increase of Rs 66 million.

It is pertinent to mention here that the MCC-Appraisement -West is continuously surpasses the revenue targets set by the FBR throughout the fiscal year 2014-15.

The Chief Collector-Appraisement-South Nasir Masroor Ahmed and the Collector, MCC-Appraisement -West Muhammad Saleem are quite satisfied with the performance of the officials/officers of the Collectorate in connection with the revenue collection in the month of May-2015 while they stressed upon the authorities concerned of the Collectorate to expedite the pace of revenue generation further for getting more effective results.
