CPEC to open new door of progress, prosperity in Pakistan: Baloch

ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for SAFRON Lt. Gen (R) Abdul Qadir Baloch Tuesday said that new doors of progress and prosperity would open in the country through China-Pakistan Economic Corridor project.

Talking to a news channel, he said India’s objection over the project was illogical as India actually did not like Pak-China bilateral trade and close relations.

The minister said Pakistan had always tried to maintain cordial relations with India but the latter had tried, every now and then, to put pressure on the former which was not a suitable attitude.

The success in Zarb e Azb operation, economic development and progress of Pakistan were not being tolerated by India, he underlined.

Replying to a question, Baloch said some anti-state elements wanted to deteriorate law and order situation in Balochistan and that stern action would be taken against them.

He said the security situation in Balochistan was being reviewed, adding, there was a need to combat terrorism through collective efforts.

He said the people of Balochistan had acted with unity during the recent incidents of terrorism
