Faisalabad Customs confiscates smuggled cloth, LED TVs

Faisalabad: Customs Intelligence and Investigation Faisalabad seized cloth and LED TVs worth Rs 600,000 involving duty/taxes amounting to Rs 341,760.

Customs Intelligence team on a tip-off received through Additional Director Muhammad Ismail intercepted a bus bearing Registration No. LES-3116 near Sargodha interchange on motorway.

The customs team comprising Superintendent Muhammad Tahir, Inspector Mansoor Khan and Muhammad Naeem conducted thorough search and recovered cloth and LED TVs on which they asked for ownership of the items.

An accused, Azeem Gul son of Raheem Gul claimed ownership of the items, so customs team asked him to produce documents regarding the legal import of the vehicle, but remained fail to do so.
