Multan Customs achieves 90% of target for fiscal year 2014-15

MULTAN: Model of Customs Collectorate Multan has collected RS.1.164 billion as customs duty during May of current fiscal year 2014-15. It has achieved almost 77 percent of the assigned target.

Almost Rs.7.706 billion has been collected during the first eleven months of the financial year 2014-15, while it remained successful to achieve 64 percent of the assigned target for 11 months.

The Model Customs Collectorate Multan has generated the sale tax amounting to Rs 40.23 billion in first eleven months and it surpassed the target by 7 percent in this regard.

The total additional sale tax amounting to Rs 24.96 billion has been achieved so far by marking 98 percent achievement in first eleven month.

The federal excise duty Rs 9.751 million was collected by the collectorate in May during the current financial year 2014-15 and achieved 49 percent of the set target.

Almost RS.184.57 million has been collected during July to May which is 62 percent of the assigned target.

The Model Customs Collectorate Multan has generated Rs 14.76 million as income tax in May that is almost 40.68 percent of the assigned target.

While, it has collected almost Rs 362.33 million in first eleven months of running economic year 2014-15 which is almost eight percent more than the set target.

The Model Customs Collectorate Multan was assigned the target of Rs42 billion for year 2014-15 and it has achieved almost 90 percent of the target. Officials said that department was hopeful to achieve the 100 percent revenue by the end of fiscal year.
