SIALKOT: Majority of the owners of the CNG stations was still reluctant to deposit the fee of Rs 1.2 million as announced by the government for getting the LNG gas at their CNG stations in Gujranwala Division, saying that they had several apprehensions regarding supply of CNG and LNG gas by the government.
They said that the prevailing uncertainty was keeping the CNG stations’ owners away from depositing the LNG fees. They said that the government should also give them surety regarding the uninterrupted supply of CNG gas and now LNG gas at their CNG stations, saying that they had already invested millions of rupees in their CNG stations following the instructions issued by the government in past but the business is affected badly day by day due to prolonged suspension of CNG to the stations.
As many as 231 CNG gas stations had yet refused to deposit Rs.1.2 million LNG gas fees per station announced by the government, as only four CNG stations had yet deposited this fee in Gujranwala Division, in this regard.
There were total 363 CNG gas stations in this region now, out of which 231 were still lying closed due to prolonged non-availability of the CNG gas by the government.
Talking to Customs Today Senior Engineer Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited Gujranwala Rana Imtiaz Ahmed said as many as 117 CNG gas stations were lying defaulters of SNGPL in different regions in Gujranwala, while, 118 CNG stations had already been cleared by SNGPL regarding the payment of dues.
He added that the supply of both CNG and LNG gas would soon be started to those CNG stations which deposit the Rs.1.2 million LNG fee to the government.
