They apprised the chief commissioner of the issues of entry and exit for the bar members in the Tax House, pending applications of ITPs, inordinate delays in sales tax registration, ex-parte and provisional assessment, without valid services of notice and corrosive recovery measures.

They added that pending NPO approval and exemption certificates and artificial demand without definite information were creating hardships for the taxpayers and the issues must be resolved.

The LTBA office-bearers also informed the chief commissioner about non-issuance of certified copies of documents, order sheet, show cause notices, unnecessary delays in approval of revised returns and active taxpayers’ list and suspension and blacklisting and other issues. The chief commissioner assured them of reviewing the matters and take corrective measures.
