FBR halts transfers during Ramadan

ISLAMABAD: FBR has halted transfers of officers during Ramadan. However, those cases will not be affected in which all the written procedures have been completed for the notifications. Moreover, such cases are in small number. They may also be suspended till Eid.

According to FBR sources, transfers and postings are expected on a large scale after Eid. Officers in field formation who have not yet submitted details of their assets will be transferred in particular.

In addition to these, the officers whose performance in the collection of revenue during the fiscal year 2013-14 was not satisfactory will also be transferred. Opportunity will be given to new officers to show their efficiency, sources added.

Sources further informed that transfers will be announced while strictly following merit policy and use of influence for transfers will be ignored under all circumstances.
