MULTAN: Provincial parliamentary leader of Jamaat Islami Dr Wasim Akhtar and secretary general Nazir Janjua have said that withdrawal of subsidy amounting to Rs 105.64 billion would surely generate inflation in country.
According to a statement issued here, the JI leaders criticised the federal budget and claimed that huge funds were not earmarked for education and health sectors. They stated that government is still unable to understand the problems of common man.
They suggested that government should increase tax base and tight noose around influential also. However, they lamented that rights of privileged class were secured in the budget and no relief was offered to the poor.
