ECO freight train to be operational soon

LAHORE: Pakistan Railways is working on ECO train service for Turkey via Iran under the decisions of the Tehran conference held in March.

Pakistan Railways sources told that the ECO train was expected to be operational soon and it would be the beginning of a freight train service between the three countries in this corridor. The train operation was due in May but it had to be postponed due to a change of destination from Istanbul to Seki and increase in Wan Lake Ferri charges.
