Closing: KSE adds 271pts or 0.79% to end above 34500pts

KARACHI: The Karachi Stock Exchange benchmark 100-index gained 270.86 points or 0.79 percent to reach 34594.70 points and volume of 208,360,990 shares on Thursday.

Total volume traded in the market was 381,257,570 shares with 377 total traded companies out of which 225 were up 135 were down and 17 were unchanged.

Technology and Communication was the top traded sector with total traded volume of 57,242,500 shares. It was followed by Cement with a total traded volume of 33,536,900 shares.

The three top traded companies were Jah. Sidd. Co. with a volume of 29,741,000 and price per share of 20.66 (0.90), Lotte Chemical with a volume 22,615,500 of price per share of 7.01 (0.55), Pak Int.Bulk with a volume 19,773,000 of price per share of 37.70 (0.57).

The top three advancers were Pak Tobacco with price per share 919.99 (36.90), Indus Dyeing with price per share of 1034.92 (34.92) and Pak Services share of 495.00 (23.00).

The top three decliners were Unilever Foods with price per share of 8800.00 (-405.00), Nestle Pak with price per share of 10000.00 (-200.00) and Bata (Pak) per share of 3155.00 (-45.00).

High and low were 34744.36  and 34323.84 respectively. Total volume traded in the market was 208,360,990 shares.
