ISLAMABAD: Model Customs Collectorate Islamabad has achieved its annual revenue target a month before the end of the current fiscal year 2015-16.
According to details, Model Customs Collectorate Islamabad has shown a remarkable performance during the current financial year 2014-15. The collectorate has achieved its annual revenue target and collected Rs 13.278 billion until May 20, 2015 against the annual revenue target of Rs 10.378 billion. During the last financial year (2013-14), customs duty of Rs 7.995 billion was collected.
Meanwhile, in the form of customs duty, the collectorate has collected Rs 4.449 billion until May 30 against the annual customs duty target of Rs 4.426 billion, while during the financial year 2013-14, customs duty of Rs 2.883 billion was collected.
Model Customs Collectorate Islamabad Additional Collector Waheedullah Marwat, while talking to Customs Today, said that the collectorate has achieved significant results in the field of revenue collection, anti-smuggling and curbing mis-declaration and under-invoicing.
