Govt focusing on rural areas, health, education, skill development: Ayesha

ISLAMABAD: Finance Minister of Punjab, Dr Ayesha Ghous Pasha on Saturday said that Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N), government was focusing on rural areas, health, education and skill development sectors to achieve progress for the people of this country.

Talking to Pakistan Television, she said that a sufficient amount was allocated in the budget for improving health, quality education, road networks to enhance productivity and skill development so that target of growth in these sectors could be achieved in a proper manner.

She said that provincial government is focusing on vocational training areas to provide the education to the people for meeting demand of the domestic and international market.

Provincial Finance Minister said that agriculture sector was given priority to benefit the farmers of the country.

Dr Ayesha said that all out efforts would be made to ensure new enrolment of the children in the schools while steps have been taken to control the dropouts from the educational institutions.

To a question she said Punjab budget 2015-16, was people friendly ,balanced, adding that focus was given to the development of rural areas.
