SYDNEY: At the ongoing 2015 24 Hours of Le Mans, the Alpine Celebration Concept has just been revealed. Created to celebrate the 60th anniversary of Alpine, the Celebration Concept also previews the company’s upcoming sports car.
Generally speaking, the Alpine Celebration Concept features a sleek, two-seater coupe design underpinned by the same shade of deep blue used in Alpine’s currently endurance racers. The front end is then categorised with orange tapped out headlights and fog lights to give off a real sports car vibe. A carbon fibre front splitter is also featured as are small brake cooling ducts and a relatively modest front grille.
From the sides, the Alpine Celebration Concept features exceptionally eye-catching wheels. They combine silver and black spokes and include orange centre caps. They’ve been inspired by the wheels of the Alpine A110 and A310 models from the 1970s. Orange brake calipers are also present. Elsewhere are slim wing mirrors. At the rear, a closed off rear window is featured with 10 circles cut out of it. A subtle rear wing is then combined with flowing taillights and an aggressive rear diffuser and F1 inspired real light.
Powertrain details haven’t been revealed. Nevertheless, it has been confirmed that following the Le Mans race, the car will complete a lap of the famous circuit.
