Lahore ANF seizes 30.2 kg drugs, arrests 9 smugglers

Afghan route closure weighs on Pakistan-Central Asia trade, exports fall 9%, imports plunge 88%

LAHORE: The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) conducted operations in various areas of Lahore and seized huge quantity of charas and heroine and other drugs.
The ANF Lahore intercepted Toyota Corolla Car No ADA- 310 (Sindh) at Rikhi Morr, Talagang Road, Mianwali and recovered 24 kg charas concealed in secret cavities of the car. Two drug smugglers namely Aman Ullah Khan and Asif Khan, residents of Bannu were arrested on the spot.
In another raid, ANF Lahore arrested three drug smugglers including two ladies namely Sanam Pathani r/o Lahore, Sanam Bibi r/o Peshawar with Muhammad Zahoor r/o Lahore near Niazi Bus Stand, Lahore and recovered two kg heroin.
The ANF Lahore detained two drug peddlers namely Muhammad Naveed
and Abdul Rehman, both residents of Sialkot from Sambrial Morr, Wazirabad Road, Sialkot and recovered 3.6 kg charas from their possession.
ANF Lahore also arrested Ahmed Ahsan alias Sunny r/o Okara and recovered 600 gram charas from his possession. He was arrested in an operation near Doctors Hospital, Johar Town Lahore.
ANF Lahore Airport team apprehended an accused namely Abdul Sattar Somro r/o Hyderabad at Allama Iqbal International Airport Lahore and recovered 190 gm amphetamine concealed in his trolley bag. He was proceeding for Jeddha by Flight No. PA-740.
Cases have been registered in ANF Police Stations and further investigations were under process.
