FBR recovers Rs 9.6 million from bank account of Amjad Plastic Company

LAHORE: The Regional Tax Office-I (RTO-I) has frozen the bank account of M/s Amjad Plastic Company situated in Farukhabad, Shahdara, and recovered the default amount to the tune of Rs 9.6 million.

According to sources, a team of Regional Tax Office under the supervision of Assistant Commissioner Aisam Khokhar took this action against the plastic manufacturer company and froze its bank account.

The RTO-I has also recovered the default amount of Rs 9.6 million from the bank account of the company. The plastic factory was involved in evasion of sales tax. The Regional Tax Office had sent many reminders to the defaulter company’s management, asking them to clear the outstanding dues, but the company failed to deposit the amount.

Now, the Federal Board of Revenue has taken strict action against the company and recovered Rs 9.6 million from its bank account, while further investigation is still in progress.
