KARACHI: The Pakistan Customs officials below Grade-16 have asked Federal Board of Revenue to take action on possible nepotism in distribution of incentive among officials. They blamed that some officers were given favoritism out of the way by some high-ups.

Expressing their deep concerns over the distribution of rewards/incentives among the officials of Pakistan Customs, they alleged that the rewards had been issued on nepotism.

Sharing their views with Customs Today, they claimed that the blue-eyed officials of the collectors, directors and director generals had got special treatments in all departments of FBR in terms of distribution of incentives among the Customs officials.

“Some of the blue-eyed officials have got rewards double than their basic salary while some hardworking and devoted employees were not given any reward or incentive” they lamented.

They further said that the employees who involve in office politics enjoy double and single salaries in term of reward before Eid-ul-Fitr, while the names of determined and sincere employees eliminated from the reward list.

They demanded of FBR to adopt uniform system of distributing reward money among the Customs officials and took notice of those high-ups who blessed their blue-eyed officials just on the basis of nepotism.
