ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister of Commerce Engineer Khurram Dastgir has warned the politicians that unconstitutional acts like long march may hampered foreign direct investment in country which will cost billions of loss to national exchequer.
In a statement issued, he said that if trade representatives and investors who had invested in 16,000 MW power projects withdrew their investment ahead of political instability, will bring the country to blackout for decades.
“We are facing three huge crises of our history, terrorism, power shortage and underdevelopment of democratic institutions which will become more complex by these political stunts” he added.
He said that world has admitted that after a long time Pakistan witnessed a serious government who has all capabilities to solve the current prevailing crises of country.
Moreover, pointing out the possible adverse affects of PTI’s Azadi march, he said that these undemocratic actions will deter the economic stability and ruin the efforts of government to improve the economy.
Mr Dastgir said that coming on roads against the democratically elected government is devastated and people who are behind this were doing injustice with nation. He urged Imran Khan that he instead of carrying long marches should come to discussion table with constructive approach.
