Hyderabad Customs collects Rs 382.51m in July

KARACHI: The Model Customs of Collectorate (MCC) Hyderabad has collected an amount of Rs 382.51million in the month of July-2014 in share of Customs Duty (CD), Sales Tax, Federal Excise Duty (FED) and Withholding tax.
According to details, the Hyderabad Collectorate has collected an amount of Rs 64.81 million in share of Customs Duty with the decrease of 56 per cent as compared to the revenue collection for the same period during last fiscal year. The Collectorate has collected an amount of Rs 146.66 million in share of CD during July 2013.
The Collectorate of MCC Hyderabad has collected an amount of Rs 285.68 million in share of Sales Tax during July 2014 with the decrease of 42 per cent as compared to the revenue collection for the same period in last fiscal year, as it had collected an amount of Rs 489.79 million.
The Collectorate has collected an amount of Rs 1.39 million in share of FED during July 2014 with an increase of 266 per cent as it had collected Rs 0.38 million in share of FED during July 2013.
It has collected an amount of Rs 30.63 million in share of Withholding Tax (WHT) during July 2014 with an increase of 39 per cent as compare to the revenue collection for the same period in the year 2013. The Collectorate has collected an amount of Rs 22.03 million in share of FED during July in the year 2013.
It is pertinent to mention here that the FBR has set a revenue target of Rs 16721.18 million for MCC Hyderabad during FY2014-15.
It will have to collect Rs 5882.18million in share of Customs Duty, Rs 10116.18 million sales taxes, Rs 37.75 million FED and Rs 685.07 million in share of withholding tax.
