Sindh Excise and Taxation Department to face shortage of staff very soon

KARACHI: The Department of Excise and Taxation is going to face a shortage of staff very soon, as many employees are heading for their retirement age.

Well-informed sources told Customs Today that many employees, including clerks, office in-charge and other employees of grade 4 to grade 12 are going to retire between August and September 2015.

Sources said that the Sindh government assured many times that fresh appointments would take place, but still there was no response from the government over the issue.

Sources further revealed that they had sent many reminders to high-ups in this regard, but their response was still awaited.

They said that after the retirement of staff, the department would face a severe shortage of workforce, which would definitely put a negative impact on the performance of the Sindh Excise Department.
