Malaysia police bust two drug laboratories, clutch 6 smugglers

JOHOR BARU: The Johor police busted two mini drug laboratories here following raids at two separate premises in here the other morning.

In the first incident, police raided a premise in Taman Pelangi where it arrested a man and a woman and seized 766.45 grams of powdered Ecstasy and 1.18 kilogrammes of white powder believed to be drugs. “We then arrested another suspect, a Vietnamese woman, in Taman Century who is believed to be involved in the case,” said Johor police chief Datuk Rusli Ahmad.

Following the first raid, the police raided a premise in Taman Bayu Puteri and arrested four more suspects and seized more drugs. Rusli said the case is being investigated under Section 39B of the Dangerous Drugs Act.
