Multan Customs seizes goods worth 12 million in May, 2015‏

MULTAN: Directorate of Customs Intelligence and Investigation Multan has seized Rs.12 million of vehicles and articles during various anti -smuggling operations in the month of May for existing economic year 2014-15.

Customs Intelligence and Investigation Multan has impounded five smuggled vehicles in different successful actions during the month of May. As many as five various smuggled vehicles have been impounded from the jurisdiction of Customs Intelligence and Investigation Multan in the month of May.

Directorate of Customs Intelligence and Investigation Multan has formed two seizure cases during various anti-smuggling operations in Multan. Due to continuous surveillance of Customs Intelligence and Investigation Multan staff smugglers movement in the Multan city along with their smuggled goods was remained restricted throughout in the month of May. Customs Intelligence Multan has seized the two cabins Mazda Titan T-3500 along with their accessories. Multan Customs has formed the two seizure cases of worth one million and customs duty on seized goods in Multan region was almost Rs 600, 000.

Field Intelligence unit of Dera Ghazi Khan has registered four seizure cases in the month of May. Customs Intelligence and Investigation has seized three vehicles in the region of Dera Ghazi Khan. Almost Rs 4 million of miscellaneous goods and vehicles were seized in May. The value of customs duty assessed on seized goods and vehicles in the location of Dera Ghazi Khan becomes almost Rs.2.6 million.

Customs Intelligence and Investigation has conducted various operations in which three different seizures cases were formed during the action field intelligence unit of Sadiqabad and almost Rs.7 million goods of vehicles and goods were seized during the month of May. The customs duty assessed on the seized items in the location of Sadiqabad becomes almost Rs.6 million.

From all three regions Customs Intelligence and Investigation Multan Range has seized overall smuggled goods and vehicles worth Rs 12 million by creating nine various seizure cases in the month of May. The Customs duty involved in the nine seizure cases were almost Rs.9.2 million during the month of May.
