New fund raises from $200,000 to $250,000 for Arizona larger library

ARIZONA: The AC Chamber of Commerce held its monthly luncheon at the Arizona City Library last, June 16. The event was catered by Flashbacks Restaurant and the featured guest speakers were Dan and Shelley Lambert, members of the Friends of the Library of Arizona City Fund Raising Committee.

The Lamberts noted that for 2014, total circulation at the AC Library was 7,564 items. The average number of monthly patrons during 2014 was 5,300. So far in 2015 an average of 5592.4 adult patrons per month has visited the AC Library and there has been an average circulation of 6,708.4 items per month.“We are bursting at the seams in our present location, only 1,600 square feet, and are hoping to have the space to offer more services to our small community,” said Shelly

The AC Library owns the vacant lot just to the north of the existing library, which is where the new building is to be constructed. The Lamberts said the goal is to eventually raise between $200,000 to $250,000 for the construction of a new, larger 5,000 square-foot building for the AC Library.
