RTO-III optimistic about achieving revenue target

KARACHI: Additional Commissioner Regional Tax Office-III Arshad Hasan Khan has said that June 30 is the last day of the current fiscal year 2015-16 and the office is trying its best to achieve the revenue target. He said all the offices will function with extended duty hours. “We are quite optimistic that we will definitely achieve our revenue target,” he said.

Talking to Customs Today, he said that “we collect extra amount during the current fiscal year as compared to last year.” He said: “Till todate we successfully collected Rs 2409.29 billion while we collect Rs 2124.61 billion during last fiscal year. The figures shows that we collects 13.8 percent more revenue during the corresponding year.”

He said that the FBR never stops any kind of refunds during the current fiscal year FBR refunds an amount of Rs 115.16 billion while last year FBR refunded Rs 101.44. Arshad Hasan Khan said, “We will work late hours on June 30 and expecting to collect more revenue on the last day of current fiscal year.”
