Multan Excise seals 60 residential, commercial properties of tax defaulters

MULTAN: The Excise and Taxation Department has sealed as many as 60 commercial and residential properties over non-payment of property tax despite several notices.

As per the details, the Excise and Taxation Department has launched an operation against property tax defaulters in Multan to recover the tax and sealed 60 properties until the payment of outstanding dues.

The excise official talking to Customs Today said that the recovery process had been expedited to meet the revenue targets of the fiscal year 2014-15.

They said that staff of the Multan region had struggled hard to achieve the target assigned by the Punjab government, adding that new effective strategies would be adopted to collect more revenue during the coming fiscal year 2015-16.
