ANF seizes 30kg drugs, nabs six peddlers

ISLAMABAD: The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) has seized 24.68 kilogramme of heroin, 5,750 psychotropic tablets and 2.20 kilogramme of charas and arrested six drug smugglers along with three vehicles.
According to ANF, the force captured the drugs and nailed the peddlers in five operations carried out in Multan, Kohat, Peshawar and Karachi.
As per details, the Peshawar ANF team intercepted a Toyota Corolla car (AWP-788) on Indus Highway near Kohat and recovered 24 kilogramme of heroin tactfully concealed in specially-designed compartment in the car. A drug smuggler Haji Ibrahim, a resident of Quetta, was also arrested.
Similarly, the force arrested one Abdul Ali, a resident of Nowshera with 680 gramme of heroin near main Motorway Toll Plaza, Peshawar.
In another raid in Kohat, the force intercepted a Toyota Corolla car (RIP-7676) on Indus Highway and arrested Kamran and Noor Badshah, residents of Kohat, along with weapons including two SMGs, one pistol 30 bore and 215 rounds.
In another operation conducted near Government High School, Suraj Kund Road, Multan, the force arrested Muhammad Afzal and seized 2.20 kilogramme charas from him.
At Seaport, Karachi, the ANF recovered 5,750 psychotropic tablets (Mogadon Nitrazepam) weighing three kilogramme from a Dubai-bound container and arrested an accused identified as Nasir Ali, a resident of Kech.
