KIEV: The International Monetary Fund ( IMF) said here the other day that its staff has reached an agreement with the Ukrainian authorities on policies needed for the lender to disburse 1.7 billion U.S. dollars under a loan program.
The IMF said the agreement is subject to approval by IMF management and the executive board.
Last month, the IMF said in a statement that it can lend to Ukraine in accordance with its Lending-into-Arrears Policy, in the event that Ukraine can’t reach debt restructuring settlement with private creditors and cannot service its debt.
