Faisalabad ASO confiscates 5,747 yards of smuggled cloth

FAISALABAD: The Customs Anti-Smuggling Organization (ASO) Faisalabad has seized 5,747 yards of printed dyed cloth and an iron valued at Rs 862,050, including duty/taxes amounting to Rs 224,792.

As per details, the ASO team has confiscated the smuggled items while conducting raid near Allied Mor, Sargodha Road, Faisalabad.

The ASO staff sought any documentary evidence showing the legal import and lawful possession of the contraband items but the accused remained failed on which customs seized the items under the customs law.

The ASO has served notice upon accused person namely Muhammad Siddique, Rehmatullah, Ajmal Khan, Khuda Dad and Ihsanullah to appear before the competent authority.

ASO team comprising Superintendent Zahid Raza Bukhari, Inspector Safder Ali, Munir Ahmad, Muhammad Anwar, Liaquat Ali and others had conducted raid to foil smuggling bid.
