SBP facilitating masses with fresh notes for Eid-ul-Fitar

D.I KHAN: State Bank of Pakistan, Dera Ismail Khan has designated four branches of various banks to provide fresh currency notes to people ahead of Eid-ul-Fitar.

Special counters have been set up in the designated branches including Allied Bank (Fuwara Chowk), Habid Bank Main Branch (Circular Road), Khyber Bank (Tank Adda) and Muslim Commercial Bank (Multan Road) to provide copies of new notes of various denominations to customers who have widely applauded the SBP for its service.

It may be mentioned here that the quota of fresh notes to be issued comprises of one packet each of Rs 10, Rs 20, Rs 50 with an optional packet of Rs 100 as per availability of stock with the concerned branch.

The SBP official said one person can get fresh notes quota only from the designated bank after showing his or her NIC and this service is aimed at further facilitating the general public in acquiring fresh currency notes on the occasion of forthcoming Eid-ul-Fitr.

He said Chief Manager SBP, Ishtiaq Ahmed was personally monitoring the service within the district to efficiently facilitate the valued masses and addresses any kind of inconvenience if they were facing in availing the service.

He said people from across the society had welcomed the SBP for launching the service within the district, saying the move was a kind of gift for them and their children on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitar.
