ASO impounds Toyota Land Cruiser valued at Rs 1.5m

FAISALABAD: The Anti-Smuggling Organization (ASO) Sara-E- Muhajar impounded a non-duty paid Toyota Land Cruiser worth Rs 1.5 million including duty/taxes amounting to Rs 500,000.

As per details, the ASO team acting upon the direction of Assistant Collector Umer Bin Zaffer Chattah conducted a raid near Manekar city, Bhakkar and held a vehicle bearing Registration No. MNC-4471.

Mazhar Abbas, the driver was asked to show the documents pertaining to the legal import of the vehicle, but he remained fail to do so due to not having any documents. However, ASO following the customs law impounded the vehicle and sent report to adjudication.

ASO team consisting of Inspector Muhammad Umer Bhatti, Ansir Saleemi, Rana Muhammad Ashraf and others held the non-duty paid vehicle.
