Power-generation: Punjab govt to set-up 3600MW power projects

LAHORE: Chief Minister Punjab Shahbaz Sharif has said that the government is going to set up 3600 megawatt power projects in Punjab. He said that the people responsible for those pointless sit-ins should now compensate the people of Pakistan for wasting their time.

Presiding over a meeting on the power generating projects through gas at the CM House, Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif said that Punjab government will set up a 1200 mega watt project in Bhakki area of Sheikhupura.

Moreover, federal government will also extend in setting up 2 projects of 2400 MW in Baloki and Haveli Bahadur Shah Jhang. Shahbaz Sharif told that feasibility reports of all three projects have been prepared. CM Punjab further said that precious time was wasted in pointless sit-ins and now the wasted time will be compensated with new resolve and extra hard work.
