KARACHI: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has directed to all officials concerned,  including provincial post masters general, not to accept copy of manual income tax returns for submission of withholding tax. They are also advised to accept tax returns of those who are included in the list which is displayed on the website of the FBR.

Sources told this correspondent that FBR revises this practice second time, as percentage of withholding tax is less for the persons who are submitting tax returns and excess for those who are not submitting income tax returns. The main objective of this practice is to create awareness among them to submit their tax returns.
