FATE to educate taxpayers on e-filing of returns: Bukhtiar

SIALKOT: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) Facilitation and Taxpayer Education (FATE) chief Bukhtiar Muhammad has said that the FBR has been removing flaws from E-filing system of tax returns submission to make it more user-friendly, to facilitate the business community and potential taxpayers

“FATE is taking the taxpayers into confidence for expanding the tax net under the supervision of FBR,” he said, adding that the FATE has been making sincere efforts to educate the business community about the submission of their tax returns through E-filing system, besides solving their problems amicably.

He was addressing an awareness session with Sialkot business community and taxpayers held at Regional Tax Office (RTO) Sialkot. The FBR Inland Revenue Chief Commissioner Sialkot Abdul Rehman Dogar, Enforcement Additional Commissioner Tehseen Sadiq, Sialkot Tax Bar Association President Shahid Mehmood, SCCI Representative Jamshaid Murtaza Badar and a large number of taxpayers were also present on the occasion.

Bukhtiar Muhammad said that FATE was striving to resolve business community’s problems through launching a nation-wide awareness campaigns to educate the taxpayers about E-filing.

FBR Inland Revenue Chief Commissioner Sialkot Abdul Rehman Dogar highlighted the local business community’s problems in submitting their tax returns through E-filing System.
