Traders bodies should submit proposals by Aug 6: Shahid Hussain Asad

ISLAMABAD: Member Income Tax Committee of Federal Board of Revenue and senior member Inland Revenue (Policy) Shahid Hussain Asad has said that members of the income tax committee seeks proposals from traders community and they have asked to submit their proposals to the committee by 4th of August, 2015 or submit the same to traders community representative Zubair Tufail.

He said after receiving the proposals from traders community federal minister for Finance Ishaq Dar, chairman FBR Tariq Bajwa will consider their proposals. He said government wants to solve this issue amicably, and we are trying to receive this tax legally.

He said all members will consider the proposals in the scheduled meeting of August 6, 2015. He said some elements are trying to sabotage the process of talks between traders and government so they may be able to take some benefits from this situation. He urged business community to understand the situation and pay taxes.
