ASO Sara-e-Muhajir seizes Toyota Hiace van‏

BHAKKAR: The  Anti-Smuggling Organization Sara-e-Muhajir  (ASO) seized a foreign origin Toyota Hiace van near Bhakkar.

According to details, Assistant Collector MCC Faisalabad Umer Bin Zafer Cattah received a credible information regarding the above said vehicle. After receiving the information Assistant Collector Customs constituted a raiding party comprising  Muhammad Umer Bhatti (inspector ), Mahmoodul – Hassan ( havaldar ) and Muhammad Riaz, Zia Ullah ( sepoys ).

The raiding team intercepted the vehicle near Canal Rest House Bhakkar. The vehicle bearing registration number BK-3365, model 1987,having market value of Rs 10,00,000/-, while its CIF value is Rs 6,00,000. The vehicle also involves customs duty and taxes amounting to Rs 3,41,760/-

 

The raiding party asked the accused Nahmtullah Khan son of  Saif Ullah Khan who is resident of  Chak No, 184 TDA tehsil and district Bhakkar to provide legal documents regarding import of vehicle but the owner failed to provide the same.

The raiding party seized the vehicle on the spot while further proceedings are still underway till the filing of this report.
