KARACHI: National Accountability Bureau (NAB), Karachi has arrested two former officers of Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) following the charges of illegal issuance of sales tax refund.
The NAB officials said here on Tuesday that former Superintendents of FBR, Sarfraz Ahmed and Atif Raza were arrested for their involvement in illegal refund of sales tax to the tune of Rs 44.53 million.
Both the accused misappropriated and committed fraud allegedly by using fake invoices.
