SIALKOT: The Punjab government has established the office of Punjab Revenue Authority (PRA) at Gujranwala and has also deputed a revenue commissioner here for ensuring the early recovery of taxes.
The authority will recover outstanding dues from services-providing institutions, including marriage halls, banquet halls, hotels, restaurants , educational institutions, private hospitals and clinics in Gujranwala division.
Punjab government has also deputed a grade 20 officer, Abdul Jawad, as PRA Divisional Commissioner in Gujranwala.
The early establishment of PRA office at Gujranwala had been the demand of the day. Earlier, the PRA teams from Lahore had to visit this region for the collection of the sales tax.
