SNGPL seeks banks help to recover Rs 5 billion from CNG/industrial defaulters

SIALKOT: The Sui Northern Gas Pipeline Limited (SNGPL) has issued the recovery notices to the managers of the commercial banks, seeking their help in recovery of the prolonged outstanding arrears of Rs 5 billion from industrial and CNG stations’ defaulters , asking the banks to make the defaulting amounts of the said defaulters from their bank accounts kept there as the Guarantee Money.

Some senior officials added that the SNGPL has decided to get the bank guarantee money cashed from bank accounts of the big and chronic defaulters.

As many as industrial gas defaulters and CNG stations defaulters were lying defaulters of Rs 5 billion and SNGPL has approached the banks legally asking the banks to make payments to SNGPL from bank guarantee of the defaulted account holders.

Several chronic defaulters have moved to the local courts against the SNGPL’s this decision, seeking stay orders against SNGPL, in this regard.
