Earlier, the last date was September 30.  The date has been extended on the direction of Finance Minister Ishaq Dar.  The FBR has established 200 desks for this purpose to facilitate taxpayers.

The one-month extension has been granted following the representations received by the FBR from various chambers of commerce and industry, tax bar associations, trade bodies, advocates/income tax practitioners and taxpayers seeking extension of time for filing their IT returns due to  constraints faced because of  sit-ins in Islamabad.
