Alumni Development, the organization behind the shopping center, says the rest of the anchor stores will open between now and the end of October. The next scheduled opening is Dick’s Sporting Goods on Sept. 15.
The opening included The Fresh Market’s version of a ribbon cutting, which is the ceremonial cracking of a giant wheel of Parmesan cheese. Tuscaloosa store manager Charles Sanders says he feels great energy and support from the Tuscaloosa community .Sanders previously managed a Birmingham area Fresh Market, where he says he saw many customers from Tuscaloosa.
