The 2013-2014 Forester models were produced between Oct 24, 2012 and May 10, 2014, and the 2012-2014 Subaru XV models were produced between Aug 23, 2011 and Dec 27, 2013, said AQSIQ in a statement.

The statement said that the flaw could cause abnormal functioning of the fuse and engine failure, posing risks to safety.

It added the company will replace the defective parts free of charge to minimize risks.
