QUETTA: Governor Balochistan, Muhammad Khan Achakzai Thursday said that China-Pak Economic Corridor (CPEC) would have great impacts on the economy of the region.
He was addressing at a seminar jointly organized by government of Balochistan and National Defense University Islamabad, here.
He said “Pakistan is rich in natural resources, mines and minerals and it has borders with Iran, Afghanistan and other countries. Although Balochistan has lesser population even than Karachi but it has great importance due to its geographical position,” adding that CPEC project would provide great benefits to the people of Balochistan.
He, however, urged the federal government to extend more financial assistance to Balochistan to put it on track of development.
