Dar briefed on development of circular debt plan

ISLAMABAD: Finance Minister Ishaq Dar has chaired a meeting to review the progress on DPC-II program related to energy sector development and associated release of funds by the the World Bank, ADB and JICA .

He emphasized that completing the reform process for energy sector was significant to attain sustainability and facilitate overall development in the country. The minster expressed satisfaction on the progress made and also appreciated the plans developed in respect of the DPC-II.

The minister was also informed about the development of the circular debt plan by the Ministry of Water and Power which along with other DPC related information would be shared publicly through the GoP websites. Senior officials of the Ministries of Water and Power and Finance attended the meeting.
