KARACHI: Pakistan International Airlines Managing Director Shahnawaz Rehman has said that the national flag carrier has required two Boeing 737-800 aircraft.
He, while sharing his views on arrival of Boeing 737-800 aircraft at Jinnah International Airport Karachi, told media that PIA needed these fuels-efficient aircraft on wet-lease from Turkish Corondon Airlines.
“These aircraft are being put into operation immediately and to be deployed on domestic and international routes,” he said, adding that PIA was planning to acquire more fuel efficient aircraft in its fleet, which definitely would help generate revenue for the airline. He said that the passengers would also enjoy better services and improved flight schedule.
