The petitioner’s counsel said that his cleint submitted all the required documents, including bill of lading, commercial invoice, packing list and etc for issuance of transport permit for transportation of the consignment to Sambrial dry port, Sialkot.

The petitioner’s bonded carrier asked the customs authorities’  permission for shipment of the goods on flatbed trailers as coils were very heavy and could not be transported in containers. However, the counsel said, without considering the legal and factual position they turned down its plea. He said that he had approached the chief collector of customs Appraisement in this regard but to no avail.

He, therefore, pleaded the court to order the customs officials to allow transshipment of petitioner’s consignment on flatbed trailers.
