Vegetables export increases by 31.16% in July

ISLAMABAD: The country’s vegetable exports have witnessed 31.16 per cent increase in July of fiscal year 2015-16 as compared with the same period of previous year.

However, the vegetable exports in the corresponding period decreased by 17.75 per cent as compared with June 2015. About 36,528 metric tonnes of vegetables worth $11.856m were exported in June, while, 30,254 metric tonnes of vegetables worth $9.039 million were exported during July 2014.

Similarly during June 2015, the vegetable export was recorded at $14.414m. The overall exports of the country during July 2015 were declined by 16 percent and 20.73 percent when compared with that of July, 2014 and June 2015 respectively.
